
Legendary Bollywood actor Dharmendra passed away on Monday, 24 November, 2025, in Mumbai at the age of 89 after a prolonged illness.
The actor had recently been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital and was later placed on ventilator support. Family, colleagues, and fans have gathered at the Vile Parle Crematorium as the film fraternity mourns his loss.

Filmmaker Karan Johar confirmed the news with an emotional tribute, calling it “the end of an era” and describing Dharmendra as a “bonafide legend.”

Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan were seen arriving at the crematorium to pay their respects.
Weeks of Health Concerns
Dharmendra had been in and out of hospital earlier this month. An ambulance spotted outside his Juhu residence earlier today heightened concerns among his followers as updates spread online.
Known for films like Sholay, Seeta Aur Geeta, Phool Aur Patthar, Dost, Jugnu, Azad, Shaleemar, and Dus Numbri, Dharmendra remains one of Hindi cinema’s most celebrated stars. His decades-long career earned him a permanent place in India’s cultural memory, leaving behind a legacy cherished across generations.
