
Members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers who are card -carrying members of the All Progressives Congress in Oshodi-Isolo Federal Constituency II on Tuesday, 12 May, 2026, in Ejigbo resolved to vote Preident Bola Ahmed Tinubu for president and frontline House of Representatives aspirant Kehinde Bamigbetan at the forthcoming APC primaries.
Bamigbetan, who met members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Branches B and D, Ejigbo/Isolo, under the leadership of Comrade Alhaji Bashir Olufemi Olowu and Alhaji Nurudeen Oladejobi promised a bus ownership scheme in partnership with the Consumer Credit Corporation established by President Bola Tinubu.

He also pledged to revive grants for co-operative schemes for wives of transport workers to run small businesses.
The interactive session commenced with an opening prayer, followed by warm opening remarks from Alhaji Bashir Olufemi Olowu. He formally introduced Hon. Bamigbetan, highlighting the purpose of the visit and urging members to listen attentively to assess KOK’s vision.

He expressed strong confidence in Bamigbetan as “the people’s choice,” encouraging the union to consider aligning with him.
Bamigbetan expressed profound gratitude to the leadership and entire executive council for the opportunity to engage with the union.
He introduced himself as a dedicated political disciple of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and a long-time resident of Ejigbo.
Recounting his deep roots in the community, Bamigbetan highlighted key interventions dating back to 2003 when he served as Deputy Chief Press Secretary to then-Governor Bola Tinubu. He played a pivotal role in facilitating the reconstruction of the dilapidated Idimu Road and the effective channeling of erosion into the Ilufunmi canal. These projects, he noted, transformed the area and restored property values.
He paid tribute to HRM Oba Morufu Adisa Adekunle Ojoola, who nominated him for the Chairmanship of Ejigbo LCDA. As Chairman, Bamigbetan launched the impactful Vision 3×3 agenda, which delivered tangible dividends to residents.
Key initiatives include the provision of free school uniforms, desks and benches, and nutritious meals for primary school children on Mondays produced by local tailors, carpenters, and bakers.
His administration also built Asiwaju Bola Tinubu Primary School in Ageke, Oladele Alake Primary School and sposored students for the Joint Matriculation Examinations and the General Certificate of Education.
He said he ran a worker and artisan- frjendly government which supported bricklayers and welders to build 182 culverts by Ejigbo bricklayers to boost the local economy.
In their responses, union members overwhelmingly endorsed Hon. Bamigbetan, with many affectionately referring to him as “Mr. Talk and Do.” They testified to his integrity and past support for the union, particularly during his tenure as LCDA Chairman when he empowered members through revenue collection roles.
The members pledged their 100% support, while offering constructive advice — urging him to address past electoral loopholes, strengthen grassroots mobilization, and tackle security concerns at polling units, especially in Okota.
In his remarks, Alhaji Bashir Olufemi Olowu praised Bamigbetan for his unwavering accessibility and support for the NURTW. He recounted instances where KOK stood by him even at midnight to resolve critical issues, describing him as a reliable ally who made union dividends accessible. In a firm show of solidarity, Alhaji Olowu declared: “If KOK does not fulfil these promises, hold me accountable. But I believe he will deliver.”
