.. HON KASUNMU PENS EMOTIONAL TRIBUTE IN MEMORY OF LATE YEYE SEWA
It has been four years since the political firmament lost one of its brightest stars, yet the echoes of her impact, her wisdom, and her boundless grace continue to resonate in every step I take.

Today, I pause to honour the memory of the incomparable Yeye Sewa of the World, Chief Mrs. Kemi Nelson—a stateswoman, a trailblazer, and a pillar of strength.

To the world, she was a political juggernaut, a leader of immense consequence, and a bridge-builder who shaped the landscape of our great party in Ikeja and beyond.
But to me, she was so much more. She was a mentor who saw potential when others saw only a young man; she was a godmother who guided my path with steadfast conviction; and she was a destiny helper whose belief in my vision gave me the courage to pursue public service with integrity.
I remember her not just for the roles she played, but for the life she poured into others. She was a master of strategy, a fountain of wisdom, and a fierce advocate for the downtrodden.
She taught me that true leadership is measured by the number of doors you open for others, and she lived that truth every single day.
Yeye, though you left us four years ago, your spirit remains the compass by which we navigate the complexities of our responsibilities.
The lessons you instilled in us—the art of patience, the value of loyalty, and the importance of selfless service—are the foundation upon which I stand.
As I reflect on your journey, I am reminded that your legacy is not just in the structures you helped build, but in the lives you touched and the leaders you nurtured…and I am humbled to be counted among them.
Thank you for your sacrifice. Thank you for your belief in me and many others in leadership today. Thank you for being a steady hand in the storm. Your memory remains a blessing, and your footsteps remain the path I strive to follow.
Continue to rest in the bosom of the Almighty, knowing that the seeds you planted continue to grow, blossom, and bear fruit.
Ashake Ade, You are gone, but you are never forgotten.
Keep singing and dancing with the Angels, our Beloved Yeye SEWA!🤍
