Family Announce Burial Arrangements For Sunday Olowa’s Mother Beatrice Oyewole

The family of late Beatrice Oyewole Olowa, popularly known as Iya Onigi, has announced burial arrangements for the matriarch, who died at the age of 88.

According to the burial programme released by the family, the deceased, whose maiden name was Abiara, was born on Tuesday, 24 May, 1938, and passed away on Tuesday, 11 August, 2026.

The family disclosed that a Christian wake-keeping service would hold on Thursday, August 20, 2026, between 4pm and 6pm, at St Paul’s Anglican Church, Idi Oro, opposite Alakara Police Station, behind Mobil Filling Station.

This would be followed by a burial service scheduled for Friday, August 21, 2026, between 10am and 12noon, at the same venue, St Paul’s Anglican Church, Idi Oro.

The family explained that interment would subsequently hold at the family’s private property in Bariga, restricted to family members only.

It further disclosed that details of the final burial party would be communicated at a later date.
