Popular media personality, Nedu Wazobia, has lamented the rising cost of living in Nigeria, describing survival as a daily struggle for many citizens.
Nedu made the observation in a recent video in which he highlighted the soaring costs of essential needs such as school fees, house rent, food, transportation, fuel and healthcare.
The media personality noted that many salary earners can no longer make ends meet due to mounting financial pressure.
He further observed that the harsh economic realities have pushed some citizens into actions they never imagined.
According to him, “People are doing things they never imagined they would do, hurting people, betraying people, cutting corners, not necessarily because they were born wicked but because survival has become a daily battle in this country.”
He said Nigerians desire an economy where hard work is rewarding and parents can provide for their children without stress.
He added, “We just want an economy where working hard can actually mean something, where a parent can provide for their children without stress and where ordinary Nigerians can wake up tomorrow with a little less fear and a little more hope. At least we deserve that.”
Nedu’s comments come amid growing public concerns over inflation and the increasing cost of basic necessities, which many Nigerians say continue to strain their livelihoods.
