Nigerian rapper Oladips has accused Grammy-winning singer Wizkid of intellectual property theft.

The rapper alleged that Wizkid sampled part of the lyrics of his song ‘Ajala Travel remix’ in his recent collaboration with Asake, ‘MMS.’

Oladips shared screenshots of the lyrics from the two songs via his Instagram account.

A fan told him that sampling was “normal” but he insisted that it’s only when authorised.

“It’s normal if you acknowledge the source! No be say dem go dey pretend like say dem no know you but come dey bite your lyrics for corner,” the singer wrote.

As at the time of filing this report, Wizkid is yet to react to the allegations.
