The Federal High Court in Abuja, presided by Justice Emeka Nwite on Wednesday, 24 December, 2025 ordered the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to produce Commissioner of Finance, Bauchi State, Yakubu Adamu, in court on Dec. 30 for arraignment over alleged N4.6 billion money laundering. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has uncovered 41 properties valued at over N212 billion allegedly linked to Abubakar Malami, former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice. The assets, spread across Kebbi State, Kano State and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, include hotels, universities, schools, factories, fuel businesses, radio stations and luxury homes. Investigations showed that properties in Kebbi State alone are worth N162.1 billion, while assets traced to Kano State are valued at N16 billion. Detectives in India have arrested a Nigerian Esther Iyanuoluwa Olajide for peddling cocaine hidden in bread loaves on the Streets.
