Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikeja Federal Constituency on Monday, 27 April, 2026 endorsed the duo of Honourable James Abiodun Faleke and Dr Kadir Obafemi Hamzat for House of Representatives and Lagos Governorship seat respectively, reports thegazellenews.com
The endorsement was done during the General Assembly of the Federal Constituency which took place on Monday, 27 April, 2026, at Lagos Television Blue Roof at Agidingbi in Ikeja.
Ikeja Federal Constituency consists of Ikeja Local Government, Ojodu and Onigbongbo Local Council Development Areas.
The motion for the adoption of Faleke for the House of Representatives ticket of APC in the Federal Constituency was jointly moved by the three council Chairmen: Hakeem Olalekan Dauda, Ikeja; Moyosore Adebanjo, Onigbongbo; and David Odunmbaku, Ojodu while the motion for the adoption of Hamzat was moved by the APC Chairperson for the Federal Constituency, Alhaja Kokumo.
Earlier, Faleke had invited all aspirants into the two state constituencies in Ikeja Federal Constituency to address the crowd on what they have in stock for the electorate.
Speaking after the endorsement, Faleke expressed appreciation to the crowd for the endorsement saying it will ginger him to do more.
“I know I have done well but I know some areas and people have not benefitted. I want to improve on my performance and I assure you all that we will take care of all interests,” he said.
Faleke, Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee for Finance, urged members present not to relent in their support for Hamzat saying that he remains the best to take Lagos to further higher height.
“As the primary is coming, you all know where I belong – Kadir Obafemi Hamzat, this is where we are going,” he said.
