The Kebbi State chapter of the National association of Nigerian nurses and midwives (NANNM) has applauded the state Governor, Dr Nasir Idris for breaking over twenty jinx in healthcare manpower provision.

The Chairman of NANNM, Kelani Abdulwaliyu, in a statement said that for over 20 years, successive administrations in the state have not been able to expand man power health institutions in the state as the current School of Nursing and Midwifery has been the only one since the state was created.
He noted that the establishment of a new College of Nursing and Midwifery is a step in the right direction and therefore worthy of commendation and support
The association also hailed the absorption of no fewer than 1,000 healthcare students nurses into main civil service saying such gesture will boost manpower and improve healthcare delivery in Kebbi state.
