Following the successful conduct of the Lagos State Congress, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imota Local Council Development Area has officially inaugurated its newly elected Ward Executive Committees for Ward B1 and Ward B2. The inauguration ceremony, held on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at the LGA Party Secretariat in Imota, marked a significant step toward strengthening grassroots leadership and consolidating the party’s structure within the council area.

The event attracted party leaders, stakeholders, and members from across the wards, creating a vibrant atmosphere of unity and renewed commitment. It also served as the formal presentation of the ward executives who emerged through a transparent and widely accepted electoral process.

Addressing attendees, Hon. Yisa Munirat commended party members for their peaceful conduct during the congress and emphasized the importance of unity in achieving the party’s collective goals. She noted that the smooth transition reflects the internal democracy and organizational strength of the APC in Imota LCDA.

The newly inaugurated executives were charged with key responsibilities, including mobilizing members at the grassroots ahead of the 2027 General Elections, strengthening party cohesion, and ensuring effective communication between leadership and the people. They were also urged to remain committed to the party’s ideals and work diligently toward future electoral victories.

In their acceptance speeches, the Ward B1 and Ward B2 executives expressed gratitude to party members for the confidence reposed in them. They pledged to serve with dedication, transparency, and inclusiveness, while prioritizing the welfare and growth of the party at the ward level.

Hon. Ramoni Akinyemi, speaking at the event, highlighted the strategic importance of ward executives in grassroots politics, describing the Ward Executive Committee as the backbone of the party’s electoral machinery. He stressed that effective ward leadership is crucial to sustaining the APC’s dominance within the council and across the state.

The ceremony also provided an opportunity for party faithful to reaffirm their loyalty and commitment to the APC, as chants and solidarity messages filled the venue. The impressive turnout further underscored the party’s strong presence and continued relevance within the community.

With the successful inauguration of the Ward B1 and Ward B2 Executive Committees, the APC in Imota LCDA has demonstrated its readiness to build on existing achievements and deepen democratic participation at the grassroots, setting the stage for sustained political engagement and development.
