
Anambra State Police Command has arrested two suspected kidnappers involved in the abduction of three Cameroonians, reports thegazellenews.com.
The arrested suspects are: Nonso Augustine Akpeh, male, aged 37 years; and Kingsley Akpeh, male, aged 44 years.

The suspects, thegazellenews.com learnt, allegedly kidnapped the three Cameroonian on Monday, 10 November, 2025 in Onitsha, Anambra State.
The Operatives attached to the Rapid Response Squad Awkuzu also recovered one Pump Action gun, one locally fabricated double-barrel gun
and ten live cartridges from the suspects.

Preliminary information by the relative of the victims on, Wednesday, 13 November, 2025 revealed that the victims were kidnapped while on a business trip to purchase goods in Onitsha.
Thegazellenews.com also gathered that the abductors refused to release the victims after collecting N2.9 million from the initial N50 million demanded by the suspects and their accomplices at large, as ransom money.
During interrogation, the suspects named Uchenna Nicholas Mmadu as an accomplice.
The suspects subsequently led police operatives to various bush locations in Anam Community where the victims had been held.
The second suspect, Kingsley Akpeh, attempted to escape, but was shot in the leg and re-arrested.
Also, during the Police search of the victims in the bush, they were informed of the discovery of three unidentified female corpses floating in a nearby river within the vicinity where the victims were reportedly kept. The bodies are strongly suspected to be those of the kidnapped victims.
