British boxer and YouTuber Ryan Taylor has stirred controversy online after making new allegations about his former fiancée, DJ Cuppy, claiming that during their time together, she “didn’t like people from her country.”

Ryan, who got engaged to the billionaire heiress and disc jockey in late 2022, made the statement while responding to fans’ comments under his recent social media post. The former couple, who parted ways in 2023, have both publicly spoken about their relationship struggles at different times.

In one of his posts, Ryan hinted that his relationship with Cuppy was marked by cultural differences and personal misunderstandings, stating that she didn’t have much appreciation for her own people while they were together.

The boxer had earlier clapped back at a fan who compared DJ Cuppy to the mother of his child, saying, “She wasn’t enough of a woman to even fathom creating such a beautiful creation like mine.”

The comments sparked mixed reactions across social media, with many Nigerians accusing Ryan of being disrespectful and unnecessarily dragging his ex into his personal rants. Others have urged Cuppy to remain silent and not give attention to what they describe as “cheap publicity.”

DJ Cuppy has not responded to the recent claims, though she previously admitted in an interview that she regretted accepting Ryan’s proposal, saying she should have said “no” and that 2023 was one of the toughest years of her life.
