TRACE Officers, Police, Others Prevent Fire Tragedy As Winners Chapel-bound Petrol Tanker Falls At Ota

The prompt response and quick intervention of Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE) in conjunction with Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), fire fighters and police saved many lives and properties worth millions of Naira at Winners Chapel and its environs along Ota-Idiroko Expressway as a full loaded PMS tanker fell down at the church’s entrance early Thursday, 23 October, 2025.

Report from TRACE Ota Command through the office of its Divisional Commander, Hameed Salau, stated that the ugly incident sparking panic and concerns from residents and motorists as they ran helter-skelter to save their lives and properties.

“There was a loaded petrol tanker that fell on its side while making entrance into the Winners premises to discharge its contents in one of its Petrol stations.

“Though at the time of this report, no casualty has been recorded, TRACE operatives from Ota and Atan Divisions, Fire fighters, Policemen are on ground to control traffic to prevent inferno and to cordon the area from the public indiscipline.

“Traffic inbound Ojuore is said to be diverted and efforts are carefully made to transload the content and evacuate the truck,” Salau concluded.
