The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released its timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 general elections, detailing key dates for primaries, screening and appeals, while pegging its presidential nomination form at ₦100 million.

The schedule, issued from the party’s National Secretariat at Buhari House, 40 Blantyre Street, Wuse II, Abuja, aligns with the 1999 Constitution (as amended), the Electoral Act 2026 and guidelines of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). It begins with the notice of election to state chapters on Monday, 20 April, 2026.
Accordingly, the sale of expression of interest and nomination forms will run from Saturday, 25 April, to Saturday, 2 May, 2026.

Thereafter, the deadline for submission of completed forms and accompanying documents is fixed for Monday, 4 May, 2026.
Subsequently, the party will conduct screening of aspirants across all categories State House of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate, governorship and presidential between Wednesday, 6 May and Friday, 8 May 2026, with presidential screening concluding on Saturday, 9 May
Following this, the APC will publish screening results on Monday, 11 May while appeals arising from the exercise will be entertained between Tuesday, 12 May and Wednesday, 13 May, 2026.
In continuation, the party has staggered its primary elections. The presidential primary is slated for Friday, 15 May to Saturday, 16 May 2026. This will be followed by the House of Representatives primary on Monday, 18 May, and the Senate primary on Wednesday, 20 May
Similarly, the State House of Assembly primary will hold on Thursday, 21 May, while the governorship primary is scheduled for Saturday, 23 May, 2026.
Appeals from the primaries will also follow a phased timeline.
The presidential appeal is fixed for Monday, 18 May, while appeals for the House of Representatives and Senate will hold on Wednesday, 20 May and Thursday, 21 May respectively. Appeals for the State House of Assembly and governorship are slated for Saturday, 23 May and Monday, 25 May,2026.
On the cost of forms, the party pegged the expression of interest for House of Assembly aspirants at ₦1 million, with nomination at ₦5 million, bringing the total to ₦6 million. For the House of Representatives, aspirants will pay ₦1 million for expression of interest and ₦9 million for nomination, totalling ₦10 million.
In the same vein, Senate aspirants are to pay ₦3 million and ₦17 million respectively, amounting to ₦20 million, while governorship aspirants will pay ₦10 million for expression of interest and ₦40 million for nomination, totalling ₦50 million.
Notably, presidential aspirants are to pay ₦30 million for expression of interest and ₦70 million for nomination, bringing the total cost to ₦100 million.
However, the party noted that female aspirants, youths and persons with disabilities will pay only for expression of interest forms and enjoy a 50 per cent discount on nomination fees.
The timetable was signed by the National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, who urged interested aspirants to contact the Directorate of Organisation for further details.
